We draft and certify your property purchase agreement, arrange mortgage charges, and guide you through the entire process up to land registry entry. We also carefully review the land register and contract documents in advance, so no open questions remain on the day of signing. We are also happy to advise on financing, the agent's contract, or the handover date, and explain what matters legally at each step.

Key terms
- Mortgage charge (Grundschuld)
- A right registered in the land register that secures a bank or other lender. It remains in place even after the loan is fully repaid, until it is explicitly deleted.
- Debtor (Schuldner)
- The person obliged to repay the loan secured by the mortgage charge – usually the buyer of the property.
From marriage contracts to joint wills and inheritance agreements – together we find a solution that fits your family. We are also glad to advise on more complex situations, such as blended families, international ties, or business assets within an estate. On request, we coordinate closely with your tax advisor so inheritance and tax questions are considered together.
-
Key terms
- Compulsory portion (Pflichtteil)
- The statutory minimum share of an estate that close relatives are entitled to, even if they were excluded from inheriting by a will.
- Inheritance contract
- Unlike a will, an inheritance contract generally cannot be revoked unilaterally – it binds all parties to the agreement.
With a power of attorney and a living will, you decide today who acts in your interest should the need arise. This avoids a court-appointed guardian having to make important personal or financial decisions on your behalf. We discuss with you how far-reaching the power of attorney should be and tailor the wording to your specific situation.
-
Key terms
- Power of attorney
- Authorises a person of your choosing to act on your behalf if you are no longer able to decide for yourself.
- Custodianship directive
- States who the court should appoint as your legal guardian if no power of attorney is in place.
Signature and document certifications are usually handled quickly and without complication – often on the same day if you send us the documents in advance. This also applies to certified copies, for example of diplomas, certificates, or documents you intend to present abroad.
-
Key terms
- Certification
- Official confirmation that a signature or a copy is genuine, or matches the original.
- Notarisation
- A more extensive notarial process for particularly significant legal transactions, in which the entire content of the agreement is formally recorded.
